howdy! i’m glad you’re here! come check out my new yearly design project.
now, more than ever, is the time to fight and uphold the right to medical care, for all gender minorities.
I’ve had this design on the backburner for a while, i made it several years ago when the political environment in the United States began really, rapidly shifting towards discriminating and dismantling long-standing healthcare services for transgender people, like myself. decent medical care was already hard to find, more so in a Bible Belt state like Oklahoma. i resolved myself to put some effort towards creating an advocate network and a better future, for Oklahoman trans lives. i think it’s the right time to pull it out of the draft folder and launch the full project, this support is needed for Oklahoma’s transgender community, now more than ever. so hey! here we are. all you need to do to join the network is support the project and wear your sticker proudly. scroll down for all the info.
this project will be a new yearly design i release and organise, focusing on the march to gain meaningful access to healthcare for all gender minorities, both here in Oklahoma and across the United States/it’s territories. it’ll be released every June as a new sticker, print, and as an artwork giveaway! this year’s design is above and features my favorite plants from my garden and the butterflies who live there. cool right?
william! how am i supporting transgender Oklahomans in getting aid?
the percentage split:
i’ll be getting 25% of the proceeds to cover reordering, supply and mail costs, the other 75% will go to GUAC, or the Gender Umbrella Assistance Collective, a direct-aid 501c3 based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. it’s created by and for transgender Oklahomans, where all funds provide help with jobs, housing, food, healthcare, and any other aid that a transgender person in Oklahoma might need. it’s time to trust transgender people when we express our exact needs and to be trusted with capital to solve things ourselves. it makes me so excited to see this happening in my home state.
to make a direct donation, which i heavily encourage, just click the GUAC banner and it’ll take you to their homepage, where donations can be made. please head over there if you want to know more about what they do and how they help out.
thanks so much for supporting my campaign!
wanna help out? grab a sticker, put it somewhere where folks can see it, and spread the word, either in person or on social media. tag me! @your_neighbor_william
